Great Wolf Lodge
Grapevine, Texas

Water Technology Inc.

The opening of the brand-new Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas, may be raising the bar for indoor waterpark resorts. In its entirety, the development resides on a 52-acre site and cost more than $100 million to build.

Of the 98,000-square-foot indoor entertainment area available to lodge guests, more than 80,000 square feet are designated for the indoor waterpark area, making it one of America’s largest indoor waterparks.
The park includes a funnel slide, family raft ride, bowl slide, two body slides, two tube slides and two kiddie slides.

There are six pools, including a wave pool, recreation pool, zero-depth-entry children’s activity pool, wave action river, adult whirlpool and family indoor/outdoor whirlpool. Additionally, the interactive treehouse water fort is a blast for kids.

Along with the indoor park, which contains 435,000 gallons of water, the property includes:

  • Meeting/event space
  • Multiple dining options
  • Elements Spa
  • Ice cream-themed Scooops Kid Spa
  • Northern Lights Arcade
  • MagiQuest fantasy adventure gaming
  • Outdoor waterpark

The outdoor area is open Memorial Day through Labor Day and boasts two body slides, a recreation pool, family whirlpool and a patio area.

Great Wolf Lodges are known for the north woods, “log cabin” feeling, and the Grapevine property is no exception. Theming throughout the property helps create a unified, family-friendly atmosphere and supports the GWL brand.

Themed elements include:

  • Mascots: Wiley the Wolf and Biko the Bear
  • Log cabin structure throughout resort
  • Wall murals featuring scenes from the north woods
  • North woods-themed play elements such as the snake, beaver and acorn floatables in the recreation pool
