Communities that have faced serious crypto outbreaks went on the offensive to prevent a recurrence in summer 2009. Utah’s Salt Lake Valley Health Department revived “Crypto Man,” part of a successful 2008 public information effort, and north Texas agencies launched a similar campaign.

In Phoenix a new deck attendant position was created to ensure city pool patrons abide by the rules.
