Waterpark Resort Takes Top Honors
The Aquatics International Best of Aquatics competition judges have recognized one company as the top overall in aquatics.

A waterpark resort has earned top honors among world-class facilities across the nation in a first for Aquatics International’s annual Best of Aquatics Awards.

CoCo Key Water Resort, based in Milwaukee, Wis., was chosen for Best Overall Commitment to Aquatics, an award which recognizes excellence in operations, programming and community involvement across multiple facilities.           

Along with CoCo Key, Aquatics International is honoring 10 other world-class public aquatics facilities this November, in its eleventh annual Best of Aquatics issue. Each year the contest celebrates outstanding facilities of all varieties — including government, nonprofit and privately owned operations.

All winners will be featured in a special Best of Aquatics supplement to the November/December issue of the magazine. All entries were judged by an independent panel of five industry experts. Judges considered factors including programming, promotional materials, aquatic amenities and community involvement.

“The awards are that much more special because they are judged by a panel of peers,” said Aquatics International Editor Gary Thill. “Competition for these awards is fierce so these facilities really are the best of the best.”
