CPSC Seeks Comments on VGBA
Agency seeking input on a compliance verification form.

The CPSC is seeking public comments on a Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act Compliance Verification form. According to the notice appearing in the Sept. 21, 2009 Federal Register, the purpose of the form is “to collect the information necessary to identify drain covers at pools and spas that do not meet the requirements of the ASME/ANSI A112.19.8 performance standard or any successor standard regulating such swimming pool or drain cover.”

Officials will be expected to complete the form during on-site inspections. The deadline to submit a comment is Nov. 20, 2009.
