Lifeguard Survey Calls for Participants

A new survey launched by the Department of Kinesiology at University of North Carolina- Charlotte aims to collect information directly from lifeguards regarding their responses to water-related incidents. The
results of the anonymous, multichoice survey will be used to help various training agencies develop lifesaving strategies based on factors such as environmental conditions, how guards identify an emergency and the type of equipment used. The American Red Cross urges guards to complete the survey as soon as possible following an incident. It can be accessed at water-rescue.uncc.edu and will be available indefinitely.
