Despite the recession and some unusually cold weather last summer, some public aquatics facilities had financially successful swim seasons. Goodman Pool in Madison, Wis., has reportedly reached its target of breaking even, as has The Keller Pointe in Keller, Texas.

Meanwhile, officials at Texas Tech University’s Robert H. Ewalt Student Recreation Center told the student newspaper that a new leisure pool exceeded attendance goals for its first four months of operation.
