Equipment Course Description: In this section, participants will learn the basics of a variety of commercial pool equipment. Topics include a discussion on maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement. Lifeguarding Course Description: Here, participants will learn strategies for ensuring lifeguards are armed with the proper information (in the form of a comprehensive handbook); knowledge through certifications; and in-service training. Subjects: • The Lifeguard Handbook • Lifeguard Certification • Lifeguard In-Service Training Test Your Knowledge: • Lifeguarding Quiz	Risk Management Course Description: This section delves into the specific ways participants must protect themselves from unnecessary risk. Items discussed include insurance and nonswimmer protection; clear and effective signage; and steps to protect yourself from liability. Water Quality Course Description: In this section, participants will learn the basics of water chemistry including disinfection and water tests; maintenance basics that should be done daily, weekly, etc.; and how to handle emergency issues that arise. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Participants who read all the courses in a section and pass a quiz can receive a certificate of completion from AIU.
