The slogan for In Motion Fitness is “Where fitness is a resort,” and operators try to live up to that goal in every aspect of operations of the 5-acre health club. The Mediterranean
atmosphere is carried through to the state-of-the-art aquatics
facility, which features water arches, palm trees, exotic fish
aquariums and an imported butterfly atrium.
The family-oriented club features a nine-pool/spa aquatic space,
two free-weight rooms, two aerobic studios, a Pilates studio,
indoor basketball court, two cardio rooms with 104 machines, a new
women’s-only workout room, a day spa, full-service café,
conference/event space and a personal training studio.
There are few other aquatics facilities in the area and since
its opening in the early 1990s, aquatics has been one of the most
popular amenities at In Motion Fitness. The club has grown its
aquatics offerings considerably.
Operators increased competitive swimmer attendance 75 percent by
adding swim teams for all ages, and membership use of the pools has
increased more than 50 percent. In the past several years they
added a swim school and a leisure pool with a splashpark, which
enables the club to target a larger audience.

In Motion Fitness has helped raise $125,000 for the American Cancer

awareness, and cook-offs to raise funds for the Boys & Girls

Safety is another priority. To offer the highest level of safety,
operators hired a full-time, on-site safety director who
administers a safety orientation to every new employee and chooses
