As a family-oriented multipurpose facility, The Keller Pointe provides 87,940 square feet of space for fitness, massage, recreational sports, wellness and aquatics programs.

The Keller Pointe includes indoor and outdoor leisure waters with interactive play features, slides and current-channels. The outdoor, zero-depth beach entry leisure pool is 28,276 square feet and features an interactive water playground, current channel with a water spray tunnel, two water slides and underwater benches, There’s also a separate toddler’s water-play area. The indoor leisure pool is 11,875 square feet and includes a hot tub.

The Aquatics Division employees are seen as leaders among staff when it comes to certification and safety. All Keller Pointe employees must be certified in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED for the Workplace, but the aquatics staff undergoes much more intense training. Lifeguards are required to be certified in ARC’s Waterpark Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, Preventing Disease Transmission: Bloodborne Pathogens Training, and Administering Emergency Oxygen. Any employee teaching swim lessons also must be certified as a water safety instructor. Training includes rehearsing the emergency action plan, and in-service instruction is scheduled so each employee can attend a minimum of three hours per month.

When it comes to aquatics, the facility draws citizens of Keller and neighboring cities that don’t have comparable pools. To reward and encourage its members, The Keller Pointe hosts a Birthday Bash each year in June. The 2009 event boasted nearly 600 attendees and more than 25 vendors.

Another notable marketing effort this year was a massive membership sales drive. A mailing went out to all residents and those in surrounding communities — resulting in an increase of 1,235 annual membership sales.
