He follows in the wake of his notable father Joe Hunsaker, who built on a collegiate swim career to establish a regional pool management company and then the aquatic design firm Counsilman-Hunsaker.
But Scot Hunsaker, who purchased the company from his father
in 1999 after a stint in the banking industry, is building his own aquatic legacy at the St. Louis-based enterprise.
Counsilman-Hunsaker has designed countless pools for universities, parks and recreation agencies, hospitality clients, and competition venues, including the 1996 Olympic aquatic center in Atlanta. He also sits on the National Swimming Pool Foundation’s board of directors.
