For Vana Nava Water Jungle, the design/construction team created a 320,000-square-foot jungle where none existed before, with the planting of 200,000 trees and plants. Many of the trees are 30- to 40 years old, displaced from road construction or supplied by the landscape architect. Designers refer to the site, which opened in 2014, as the first ecologically and community-aware waterpark in the region. Designers have kept daily water loss to approximately 3 percent with the use of water recycling systems. LED lighting is used in all pools.
