A 19-year-old who previously worked at a popular indoor waterpark resort in Washington has pleaded guilty to third-degree child rape for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Alex Salazar, who was arrested in May of last year, had worked at Great Wolf Lodge in Centralia, Wa., when he met the girl who was staying with her family at the resort.

The rape occurred after Salazar and the girl left the hotel located in the 20000 block of Old Highway 99 in Grand Mound, and went to an unknown location in Salazar's car, according to court papers.

The news agency reports that as part of a plea deal, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss a charge of second-degree child rape against Salazar in exchange for his guilty plea to the charge of third-degree child rape. Read More
