Two Michigan county facilities are feeling the sting of a hiring issue that has taken its toll in many areas of the country.

Torzewski and General Squier Memorial Parks in Lapeer County will close on Monday and Tuesday instead of operating seven days a week. 

Currently, the parks are operating on half the staff needed to function all seven days, with only five on hand, according to miNBCnews.com.

Lapeer isn't alone. The shortage is plaguing other facilities throughout the country, with reports of shortages in California, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and West Virginia. Read More
