A world-famous 22-time Olympic medalist now is featured as part of the art collection at the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Although Michael Phelps won’t be eligible for official induction into the International Swimming Hall of Fame until at least 2016 (and longer if his speculated comeback happens), the Ft. Lauderdale-based museum has unveiled a new statue of the swimmer.

Made of ceramic, ISHOF's artist-in-residence Jean Ermann Desimots unveiled the bust January 8.
