Barely a month after opening its rides, an indoor waterpark in Canada is planning a temporary shutdown to address slips and falls on its wet surfaces.

Although the current expoxy-based flooring at Adventure Bay Family Water Park in Ontario, Canada, meets all the industry and safety standards, the project manager said slipping has been raised as an issue of concern by some of the more than 10,000 visitors so far, according to the Windsor Star.

The park hopes the addition of an after-market, sand-based coating will fix the problem. The city also is considering making other modifications to the area that may help to alleviate concerns. Read More
