2008 Aquatics International Best of Aquatics
Each year, Aquatics International magazine bestows the prestigious
Best of Aquatics awards to facilities that demonstrate excellence in aquatics.Eligibility
All aquatics facilities are eligible for the awards. Professionals are invited to submit entries on behalf of their facilities in the appropriate categories. Judging
A panel of respected aquatics professionals will independently select winners. Awards are based on facility programming, promotional materials, aquatic amenities and community involvement.Recognition
• Winners will receive feature coverage in a special Best of Aquatics supplement in the November/December 2008 issue of Aquatics International.
• Winners will also receive a Best of Aquatics awards plaque and permission to use the Best of Aquatics logo on their promotional materials.

Tony Bates OK, just admit it: Inspections are no fun. But they are necessary. Don’t believe it? Just ask Tony Bates, who penned Lessons Learned. One thing’s for sure — he’ll probably never look at inspections the same way again. Bates has been in the aquatics field for nine years. He started as a lifeguard at the Rowlett, Texas, community pool and then moved to the Wet Zone, also in Rowlett, as a supervisor when it opened in 2001.
