Attractions industry professionals, be aware: Registration for this year’s IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Florida, will open May 27.

That will be the first moment attendees will be able to secure their spots for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions event, scheduled for Nov. 17-21 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The trade show floor opens on Nov. 18.

More than 28,000 people attended last year’s show, which had the largest floor in 10 years. “Business is clearly booming,” said IAAPA President and CEO Paul Noland after the event. “The week was filled with big project announcements, exciting ride reveals, contracts being signed, and education sessions overflowing with attractions professionals.”

In 2013, the show attracted 1,098 exhibiting companies to a 528,578 net square foot trade show floor, completely selling out the indoor exhibit space.

This year’s conference has more than 100 educational opportunities for attendees to learn the latest best practices in safety, facility operations, marketing, retail merchandising, human resources, games and entertainment.
