Coming off the heels of its acquisition of Engineered Treatment Systems, Coventry-R. I.-based Neptune Benson has announced the appointment of Michael Griffin as its new president.
“As our company continues on its aggressive growth path, it is important to strengthen our team in order to ensure that key operational and strategic responsibilities can be given the proper attention,” said Barry Gertz, current President and CEO. “Michael brings the type of experience and a global perspective that will prove to be invaluable to our organization as we move forward.” Gertz will continue in his role as the company's CEO.
Griffin, a graduate of Boston Univeristy, has more than 30 years of business experience. Most recently he served as senior general manager of Sundyne, a division of Hamilton Sundstrand, a United Technologies Corporation subsidiary. In this position, he was responsible for the company’s Electromagnetics and Marelli Pumps business units. Prior, Griffin held positions with United Technologies’ Sullair business units in Melbourne, Australia and Michigan City, Indiana, as well as with Pentair, Ingersoll-Rand and Goulds Pumps.
Griffin is eager to assist the company as it seeks opportunities for expansion.
“I am very excited about Neptune-Benson's strategic direction and the growing family of quality brands,” said Griffin. “I look forward to working with the team to assist the company in exploring new opportunities in the industrial sector and other markets.”
