Two indoor waterpark chains have shared their plans to enter new territories.
Just a few months after debuting the only indoor waterpark in California with its facility in Garden Grove, Great Wolf Lodge has revealed its intention to open a new indoor waterpark in LaGrange, Georgia. According to a report on AL.com, officials announced the project will include a 93,000 square-foot indoor waterpark and a 456-room resort hotel with restaurant and conference space, and estimating the park will attract about 500,000 people a year. Anticipated for a 2018 opening, the Georgia resort will join 14 others throughout the country.
Also entering a new state is Kalahari Resorts, which recently announced it intends to build a $250 million waterpark and hotel complex in Round Rock, Texas. As the Austin Business Journal reported, The company currently has locations in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; and Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.
