Last month reported that Kevin Dumont, founder of Liquid Planet waterpark in Candia, N.H., camped out at the top of a 30-foot water slide tower at the park in an effort to avoid losing his business, which had recently fallen into forclosure. He hoped that his actions would capture the attention of an organization or person who would partner with him so that he could retain ownership of the park.

The stunt did not work.

WMUR News 9 in Manchester, N.H., reported that Liquid Park had been sold at auction for $950,000.

Dumont was not happy about having to sell his property, however, he did wish the new owners, who already own two other waterparks, the best of luck.

"I kind of feel like my child got married, and I'm giving her away to the new groom," Dumont said to WMUR News 9.
