After 10 years in the works, the first indoor waterpark in southern California has opened its doors.

The new Great Wolf Lodge Southern California, a $250 million indoor water park and 603-suite hotel in Ocean Grove, Calif. also happens to be the largest owned by Great Wolf Resorts.

Doing so in the heavily populated tourist area dominated by the likes of Disney was a risk, but city employees are confident the facility will be a success.
