Delano, Minn., Landscape Structures Inc., a designer and manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, has acquired Aquatic Recreation Company and its sister company Commercial Aquatic Engineering.
Founded in 2002, ARC designs, manufactures and installs interactive water and splash play equipment for municipal spray parks, aquatic centers, hotels and resorts, campgrounds, fitness centers, housing developments, military bases and amusement parks.
Since 1995, CAE has designed and built more than 1,000 water feature projects, with expertise in design, fountain finishes, fountain mechanical systems and electrical systems.
Day-to-day operations will be managed by co-founder and Managing Director Greg Stoks in their current facility in Eden Prairie, Minn.
Water and splash play is a key part of the recreational play experience and by acquiring ARC and CAE, we can more effectively meet customer needs with a one-stop solution,” said Pat Faust, president of Landscape Structures. “ARC/CAE is a great cultural fit to our organization and we’re excited to welcome their employees to the Landscape Structures family.”
The announcement comes on the heels of a newly minted partnership with Surface America to provide safety surfacing systems to splashparks.
