Located within Wannamaker County Park in North Charleston, Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark offers more than 15 acres of island-themed aquatic play for all ages. It is the largest waterpark in the city and features The Big Kahuna, a 27,000-square-foot wave pool. Thrill seekers can try three different 300-foot-long slides in the Tubular Twister multislide complex, along with the six-lane, 347-foot-long Riptide Run racer slides. Other features include an 870-foot-long lazy river and The Big Splash Treehouse, a giant play structure with 66 interactive elements, such as slides, water wheels, jets and a giant 1,000-gallon dumping bucket.
Complementing the aquatic amenities are concessions, a gift shop, restrooms, locker rentals, and lounge chairs. The park is open May through Labor Day each year, and offers discounts during extra-value days, select weekdays throughout the summer.
