Remembered for her record-breaking races in the 1980s and early 1990s, the California mom of two today lends her Olympian name to water safety initiatives such as The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson; online videos promoting swim lessons and parental supervision in the pool for the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals and the World Waterpark Association; and anti-drowning programs by groups such as the ZAC Foundation.
