Aquatics International welcomes reader feedback on the issues presented in our magazine and online.
We encourage thoughtful comments that reflect a range of views and add to the discussion. When adding comments, we ask that you stay on topic, be concise, remain respectful of others’ views, and don’t misrepresent yourself.
While users can leave a message anonymously, we encourage you to log in and use your real name when leaving comments. This adds credibility to your message. However, we advise against posting your email address on security grounds.
You are solely responsible for your comments and by using AquaticsIntl.com you agree to our Terms of Use.
The goal of our Website is to encourage a free-flow of information. To ensure the quality of the information provided here, the comments are screened prior to posting. Comments that are allowed include:
• Those that respond to an article, project, blog entry, or to a comment left by another reader.
• Those that have a constructive tone and are open to being contradicted by other readers.
• Those that are on topic and do not contain spam or spam-like content.
While we will not edit the content of comments, we may fix minor spelling or punctuation issues to ensure the clarity of the message.
We reserve the right to display comments in a variety of ways, including within the text of articles, in future issues of the magazine, or in advertisements. In those cases, we may fix spelling and punctuation as well.
The following items should be avoided and will result in an item not being posted on the site:
• Abusive acts. We will not post comments that include offensive/ obscene language or images; insults/ personal attacks; profanity; threats; SHOUTING; etc. Differences of opinion are bound to happen from time to time; however, we ask that you treat others on the site with respect.
• Repetition/Tangents. We will not post items that go off on tangents, are off topic, or contain spam or spam-like content. We also make an effort to protect discussion threads from repeated comments — either by the same reader or different readers.
• Sales pitches. Blatant advertisements, promotions or job requests are not permitted here. If you’d like to advertise on our site, contact our sales department or call 323.801.4922.
While most comments will be posted if they meet our guidelines, moderating decisions are subjective. We will make them as carefully and consistently as we can.
In addition, we will make every effort to post comments quickly; however, the moderation process can be less frequent in the evenings and on weekends.
Hanley Wood reserves the right to delete comments that don’t meet our guidelines. If readers repeatedly abuse Hanley Wood's comment policy, the editors may ban the users’ IP addresses.
If you have questions about this policy, about comments on specific posts, or about comments that have been deleted, please email Margi Millunzi at mmillunzi@hanleywood.com.
