Calypso Waterpark in Limoges, Ontario, Canada, is under investigation following a chlorine leak that sent 13 children to the hospital in August, according to local news reports.
Meanwhile, a July water-slide crash at the park injured two men,
and operators have since been named in two unrelated lawsuits
A 48-year-old woman claims she was thrown from her seat on a raft
ride in 2010 and sustained facial injuries that have caused
permanent disfigurement and depression. Another female is claiming
pain and suffering after sustaining a broken collarbone on a water
slide. Her statement alleges that the waterpark, one of
Canada’s largest theme parks, failed to properly inspect the ride.
The Technical Standards and Safety Authority, which administrates theme parks, is overseeing the inquiry.
