Preceding the start of swim season, several people have
died in commercial pools recently.
A 7-year-old boy from the Philadelphia area was revived
after being found in an Atlantic City, N.J.,
casino’s pool, but died later at the hospital from
his injuries. No lifeguards were on duty.
In Florida, a four-year old girl fell into a local hotel
pool after leaving the room of her guardian unattended. The
child was transported to a hospital, where she died.
A five-year-old boy found unconscious in a Dallas-area
hotel pool also passed away after being admitted to a
hospital. He was discovered by another minor, who called
911. The incident happend during a party.
In Atlanta, a 38-year-old man pulled from a swimming
pool died from what was ruled an accidental drowning,
although homicide detectives were initially notified.
