Summer's in full swing. Not only does this mean that aquatics facilities and waterparks around the world are busy fulfilling their mission of providing safe fun for children of all ages -- it's also that time of year when we get to recognize some of the designs that help make this possible.
In our July/August issue of Aquatics International, we will be rolling out our annual Dream Designs gallery showing the best new facilities around. To offer a taste, here is a look at one of these properties - Garside Pool in Las Vegas.
To bring the decommissioned pool back to life, the $1.6 million renovation was publicly funded at the urging of City Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian, who wanted to create a community gathering place. The single-pool facility was transformed into a multi-feature leisure pool catering to all ages and interests.
