The consumers have spoken!
TripAdvisor, the travel planning and booking site featuring consumer rankings and commentary, has released its Travelers' Choice Awards for waterparks, both in the U.S. and around the globe. Winners were chosen based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings within a year.
Orlando destinations did well in these rankings, taking three spots in the U.S. list and one in the global list. All told, the Sunshine State accounted for four of the U.S. destinations. Pennsylvania and New York each saw two waterparks included in the list.
Brazil topped the global list, taking three of the 10 spots. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park in Orlando was the only U.S. waterpark to receive global recognition.
The website also published a list of the best around the world.
