Every agency has its own unique approach to aquatic operations and the duties associated with managing a safe and well-staffed facility.Because every operation is unique, there is no “one size fits all” annual operations calendar that magically works for everyone. With this in mind, we offer the following to act as a guide for developing your own annual operations calendar.
SPRING (MARCH - MAY)When spring is in the air, everyone tends to take on a “renewal” mind-set. For aquatic operators it’s a time to gear up for a busy summer.
SUMMER (JUNE - AUGUST)It goes without saying that summer is the biggest time of year for aquatics, so show the public what you’re made of! Good organization and planning during the rest of the year will really pay off.
FALL (SEPTEMBER - NOVEMBER)As the leaves start to turn and your patrons begin to reflect on their summer fun, autumn is a good time for operators to reflect as well. Spend time reviewing and evaluating, but remember to stay focused on what’s ahead as well.
WINTER (DECEMBER- FEBRUARY)When snow is falling, your pool may be the last thing on anyone’s mind. But with creative marketing, good communication and careful planning, you can make sure that’s not the case.
