The blue and green funnel in the background is Abyss, said to be the largest water slide in Thailand. It lifts up to six people 91 feet, then spins and drops them into the funnel at more than 28 miles per hour.
Coconut Beach features a 17,000-square-foot wave pool and sandy area highlighted by islands. A nearby stage allows swimmers to enjoy performances.
Among the nine slides is Freefall, which carries visitors up 193 feet, then drops them straight down at up to 31 miles per hour. An RFID and data management system allows visitors to pay for services and photos captured at the various attractions without cash.
Next to Abyss stands another first — Vana Nava Falls, Asia’s tallest man-made mountain waterfall at approximately 101 feet high. A cave leads through it to Coconut Beach.
