The 2009 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code now is an American National Standard, ANSI
announced recently. Developed by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, the standard is the only model code governing the installation, inspection, and maintenance of pool and hot tub systems that has received the ANSI distinction. It includes provisions for commercial and residential pools and spas.
