The special needs children and adults served by the Marian Center in Miami Gardens, Fla., have a newly repaired pool to swim in. A request from Bill Kent, president/owner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Team Horner, prompted Philip Greggs from Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Southern Grouts and Mortars to organize the gift of the new Diamond Brite pool finish, replacing the finish that had needed major repairs for several years. Greggs organized several volunteer contractors to work with him on the renovation.
“Phil Greggs leadership made this project happen at no cost to the Marian Center," Kent said.
The Marian Center is daytime home for about 125 children and adults for the past 50 years. The pool is now being used daily for exercise, swimming, and fun activities.
