This year’s edition of the International | Pool | Spa | Patio Expo introduced a number of new features, including a host of fresh educational offerings and programs.

According to Informa, which organizes the event, more than 10,000 professionals, including exhibitor staff, came to see the wares of 459 exhibitors.

The conference featured 45 new courses, not including show-floor classes, many of which also made their debut. APSP University Live premiered with a series of lectures and demonstrations on systems, hydraulics and tile applications. The new program attracted approximately 258 attendees, with some sessions drawing standing-room-only crowds, said Silvia Uribe, APSP’s director of education.

Of the exhibitors, 109 were new to the show. In all, exhibitors took up approximately 133,000 square feet, Informa said.

“With so many new features, the 2018 PSP Expo was not the same show that the industry has always known,” said Tracy Garcia, director of global exhibitions. “It had a renewed energy and excitement that reached attendees and exhibitors alike. This energy is expected to continue as industry feedback is used to develop new features and propel the show forward.”

Next year’s PSP Expo heads to New Orleans Nov. 5-7.

Informa purchased the PSP Expo in 2015 from Pool and Spa News parent company Hanley Wood.
