The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions recently held its Water Park Operator’s Regional Forum. The event was held on February 22, 2017, at the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park in Grapevine, Texas.

“They had quite a nice turnout,” said Paula Panton, owner of Water Safety Products in Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., who attended the event. “I thought it was very informative and very well done.” Topics that were discussed during the event included the use of technology in water parks, how to save money on park labor, and how millennials are changing the purchasing environment.

Next month IAAPA will hold its annual Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif. The event is scheduled to take place March 8-10 and is already sold out. The program includes on-site tours of local amusement attractions, including Disney California Adventure Park, Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood, and the Aquarium of the Pacific. Attendees will also have an opportunity to see a keynote presentation from Bob Weis, president of Walt Disney Imagineering, the creative design and development team of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
