The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions has added Josh Powers to its management team, serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer for the Orlando-based organization.
“As we continue to strengthen the support we offer our members around the world, we are excited to have Josh join the team,” said Hal McEvoy, president and CEO, IAAPA. “Josh brings a solid background in finance and financial reporting along with strong industry knowledge and passion. His experience in hospitality and the theme park industry coupled with his leadership skills will be key assets as he serves and supports our global members.”
He will oversee and devise strategy on financial issues, including financial analysis, investments, asset and cash management and financial functions. He will lead the finance and information technology teams.
Powers most recently served as corporate vice president, financial planning and analysis, for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. He has also worked for Busch Gardens Williamsburg. He earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.
