Landmark Aquatic has promoted Jason Hill to general manager of its Kansas City, Missouri, market.

Hill brings nearly 20 years of commercial aquatic experience to the position. His career has included roles as a laborer, plumber, project superintendent, and project manager. The company says this progression has given him experience across several stages of commercial pool construction.

Hill said that background will shape his approach to managing the market and its workforce.

“I truly understand the jobs of everyone here,” Hill said. “It’s not just how they’re supposed to perform. I actually understand their day-to-day struggles, their desire for growth, and their need to have the best tools at their disposal to do their job efficiently.”

Workforce development will be a priority for Hill. He said the commercial pool industry has a limited pool of experienced workers, making training and mentorship important tools for building teams.

“As we grow our team, we are not likely to find commercial pool people waiting in our market to be hired,” Hill said. “Rather, I am going to have to make commercial pool people.”

Hill’s focus on training aligns with Landmark’s emphasis on employee development. The company recently received a Top Workplace award for career development.

In his new role, Hill is also working with Landmark’s marketing team to increase the company’s visibility in the Kansas City market. “I’m excited to compete with our other markets and see how far we can climb,” he said.
