Aquatics International Awards 2015

If breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then the upcoming Aquatics International Awards Breakfast may just be the most important meal of the year.

Held in conjunction with the Association of Aquatics Professionals Conference & Exhibition in San Diego, the 2nd annual breakfast will recognize the nominees of Aquatics International’s 2016 Power Issue and the 2015 winners of Best of Aquatics.

“Each year we honor the best of the best in the aquatics industry, and we are excited to recognize our award winners for their outstanding achievements and contributions,” said Aquatics International Editor-in-Chief Joanne McClain. “We couldn’t think of a better opportunity to do so than at the annual AOAP conference.”

Guests will enjoy breakfast at the The California Room at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center while hearing from two keynote speakers: Joe Lewis, founder of Angels of America’s Fallen, an organization serving children of deceased military and first responders by funding costs related to activities, i.e., swimming lessons. Lewis was named a Power Issue honoree in 2016; and members of the City of Phoenix Aquatics, a 2015 Best of Aquatics winner in the category of training. The facility earned its award, in part, to its innovative Mystery Shopper Assessment program. Launched in 2012, it helped to remove the “predictability factor” of lifeguard tests.
