Action Park is under fire again. After only one year back in operations using its old moniker, the Vernon, N.J.-based facility made famous for its dangerous and sometimes deadly attractions has been forced to shut down one of its water slides.
According to a report on NJ.com, Cannonball Falls had the highest number of reported injuries in the state this past season. All told, six people reported injuries from the ride, five of which were shoulder-related. As a result, it stopped operating September 7.
This may not be the best news for the facility that only recently announced it was bringing back a vertical looping water slide it briefly launched during the park's original inception in the 80s.
