The company that owns and publishes Pool and Spa News and Aquatics International has rebranded.

Hanley Wood, which has owned the publications since acquiring them in 2001, now is known as Zonda. The rebranding includes a new name, logo, positioning and website.

The branding reflects the expansion of the company’s construction and real-estate data operations. In 2018, Hanley Wood, which had data and media divisions, was purchased by New York-based private equity firm MidOcean Partners and merged with another data company it had just acquired, Meyers Research. The name Zonda comes from one of the company’s data products.

“As we’ve grown, a wide variety of businesses and products have come under our umbrella and there was a need to align and unify our story,” said Jeff Meyers, CEO of Zonda. “The new brand identity is not only current and modern but continues to reflect the core ethos of Zonda — continuous growth and innovation.”

The new logo is an evolution of a BIT — the fundamental building block of data — and brings in design inspiration from a housing property grid.
