Yahoo! News reports that male refugees in Bornheim, Germany, who are over the age of 18, have been banned from public swimming pools.

The refugees are part of the 1.1 million asylum seekers, which Germany took in last year, who are mostly from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.

The ban was put in place in response to six complains that were filed “over the sexually offensive behavior of some migrant men at the pool,” said a local government spokesman. The measure is intended to “[make] it clear to the men that the right of women in Germany is inviolable,” he said.

City officials have personally spread the news at three asylum-seeker shelters near the pools, and have declared that the rule would be revoked if they determine that the message has gotten through to the banned party.
