Diana Goodwin of Toronto, Canada, has come up with an app that enables people who want private swimming lessons to find local swim instructors – instantly. It could be just the answer for those wanting to avoid days spent researching and contacting swim instructors.
How the app works: With this custom-made technology platform, people can go online, type in their pool address and be matched with an AquaMobile instructor in their area. As Goodwin explained to The Globe and Mail, her app allows “… customers to immediately see the profiles of instructors who can travel to their home, check their availability and book the lesson right online.”
AquaMobile Inc. has been named a semifinalist in The Globe and Mail’s Small Business Challenge Contest, which drew more than 3,300 entries. The winner of the $100,000 business grant will be announced in September 2015. Read More
