A maker of commercial recreation equipment has been purchased by a private equity firm.
Chattanooga, Tenn.-based PlayCore, previously held by Irving Place Capital, now is owned by Sentinel Capital Partners.
Under IPC, the company expanded through nine strategic acquisitions, including Colorado Time Systems in 2012 and Spectrum Aquatics in 2010.
PlayCore's leaders are optimistic about the purchase and the firm's future growth.
"We are now very pleased to partner with Sentinel Capital Partners as we take PlayCore to the next stage," said President and CEO Bob Farnsworth in a press release.
