First it was announced that the bankrupt Revel Casino-Hotel was going to be transformed into a waterpark and resort.
Now, another defunct casino is joining the list to go from slots to splashes.
Casino Magic in Biloxi, Miss. has been closed since Hurricane Katrina took its toll on the region in 2005. But the property has a chance at a second life, according to The Sun Herald.
As the news agency reports, when complete the reinvented casino will feature restaurants, 373 hotel rooms and a waterpark.
Cono Caranna III, one of the developers of the project, told The Sun Herald the first phase will be complete sometime in 2016. Although a name has not yet been selected, work already has begun on on the steel frame that was left intact after Caesars Entertainment demolished the property last year.
