How does a world-class park ensure that guests return, again and again, without growing tired of the experience? By investing in advanced designs with innovative features and incorporating them into an iconic ride mix.
That’s exactly what happened when ProSlide Technology, Inc., partnered on the latest expansion of Atlantis Aquaventure in Dubai.
“Atlantis is very much the benchmark in the region [with] attractions that live up to the brand’s world-class expectations,” Philip Baker, VP of Business Development Middle East-North Africa (MENA) for ProSlide. “With everything that Atlantis has to offer, it’s critical to make sure they have the latest technology built into their cutting-edge designs, enabling them to future-proof their investments.”
When guests visit a waterpark like Atlantis, they expect – and receive – a completely unique, never-before-seen experience that leaves them with lasting memories, long after they’ve left the park.
With its Phase 3 expansion, Atlantis Aquaventure continues to lead the globe with the latest in waterpark attractions that has set Atlantis and its luxury palm-shaped island apart.
“When you go to a world-class waterpark, you get fully immersed into the experience,” Baker said. “From the design of the new water ride towers that that share modern architectural elements, to the lost city theming weaved into the rides, guests are always firmly cemented in the world of Atlantis.”

The latest expansion introduces 17 iconic new water rides to the ocean-front resort, each designed with a specific type of guest in mind. For the adventure-minded, there’s the Trident Tower, a breathtaking 48-meter-tall structure that commands the park’s skyline. The Tower alone features 12 water rides, including the world’s longest racing Water Coaster, the MENA region’s first RallyRACER® mat ride, “Hydra Racers”, and the first family adventure MammothBLAST™ Water Coaster- “Shockwave”. It combines ProSlide’s next-generation BLAST water propulsion, the patented FlyingSAUCER® high-speed turns, and the PowerRIVER rafting river channel meant to thrill riders of all ages all into one water coaster adventure. Trident Tower also includes a number of other record-holders water rides like the world’s tallest Double TornadoWAVE called the “Odyssey of Terror” and the region’s tallest FreeFALL speedslide, aptly named “Blackout.”
For kids and families not ready to make the leap to the big rides, the new Splasher’s Cove has been specifically innovated to serve as an introduction to future thrill-seekers. Splasher’s Cove plays host to the world’s first KidzADVENTURE Tower, a modern architectural marvel inspired by Trident Tower and featuring smaller versions of many of ProSlide’s iconic rides like the world’s first KIDZ RallyRACER.

“When we create these rides, we’re designing customized experiences that differentiate and distinguish each park,” Baker said. “These unique rides set parks apart regionally and globally, like Shockwave, the MammothBLAST™/FlyingSAUCER® 45/PowerRIVER on Trident Tower that can only be experienced at Atlantis.”
The new expansion also continues the Atlantis storyline of the lost historic city and the emergence of a new modern one, as demonstrated through the modern architecture of the Trident Tower. The distinctive architecture of the tower mirrors the avant-garde luxury residences of Royal Atlantis.
