It’s tough to compete with the local attractions when designing a resort amenity in one of the top tourist destinations in the country. To meet this challenge, the team created “R Aqua Zone,” with features targeted for all age groups. The 3,230-square-foot space includes a play fortress, dump buckets, water slides, a rain tree, wet decks, pop-up jets and a kids’ pool. A teen/tween play area features two twisting water slides — one more than 120 feet long.
