Since opening in 1995, Deep River Waterpark, a Lake County Parks facility, has been dedicated to providing a safe, affordable waterpark experience.
Easily accessible to all of northern Indiana, southern Michigan and the Chicago Metro area, the waterpark is designed to provide entertainment for all ages. Attractions include several tube slides, two lazy river rides, speed slides, a wave pool and the Mayor Byrdovich’s Courthouse play structure.
The tagline “It’s Simply SPLASHtastic” ties the facility branding together, along with attention to the small amenities. Parking is free, and Deep River is a “cooler friendly” facility. Along with families, groups are another key part of the business. At night the facility is rented out for private parties and picnics nearly 80 percent of the time; in winter, the waterpark is open for ice skating.
