EVERGREEN WINGS & WAVES WATERPARK

Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark, the nation’s only education and aviation-themed nonprofit waterpark, now is open to the public.

Located in McMinnville, Ore., in the heart of Oregon wine country, this 70,000-square-foot indoor waterpark is the newest addition to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum campus, developed with the mission “to inspire and educate, promote and preserve aviation and space history, and honor the patriotic service of our veterans.”

The highlight is a retired Evergreen International Airlines Boeing 747 aircraft, located on the rooftop with four water slides coming off either side that snake down and end inside the building.

Other aquatic attractions include a 91,000-gallon wave pool, a toddler area, a play structure with a 300-gallon splash bucket and helicopter, a leisure pool, and a vortex pool. Waterpark visitors learn about the power of water and its effects on society through dozens of interactive exhibits and learning tools, located throughout the space.

There’s also a gaming center and children’s museum, created to teach visitors about the philosophy “H20: Life needs water.”
