There's a lot of change happening at Great Wolf Resorts.
Earlier this year, the Madison, Wis.-based firm was sold to the highest bidder, the private equity firm of Centerbridge Partners.
Now, less than three months after the transaction, the company has announced a new CEO. On September 22, Ruben Rodriguez, former executive vice president-ship operations for Carnival Cruise Lines, will take over for Kim Schaefer. Schaefer, who has been with the company for 18 years, becoming CEO in 2009, will serve as chief brand officer for Great Wolf through the end of 2015. Early next year, she will move to the board of directors.
“I have watched the business grow from one lodge to 12 and feel so much pride in thinking of all the opportunities I have had to contribute to what it is today,” she said, in a statement, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
