Featured by the likes of National Geographic and the Discovery Channel’s “Build it Bigger,” the SkyPark infinity pool at the Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore is truly one of a kind.
Aquatic amenities include a 478-foot, infinity-edge, stainless steel pool; three large hydrotherapy spas; a wading pool; and a reflecting pool — all stretched across the top of three 55-story towers.
This hallmark of modern engineering took shape in 2006 when the Las Vegas Sands Corp. and visionary architect Moshe Safdie were awarded the bid for Singapore’s first integrated resort, and Natare Corp. was hired to design, build and install the pools.
At 626 feet above ground, this pool complex includes the largest elevated pool in the world and has the longest infinity edge at that height. The completed pools hold 376,500 gallons of water, filtered at a rate of 5,707 gallons per minute.
